Energy consumption analysis of water utilities
Bábíček, Michal ; Raclavský,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
In the first part was an analysis of possible cost-saving measures to reduce energy consumption in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Part of the work analyzing energy savings for water treatment plant Bzenecis divided into three parts. Part one deals with a brief description of the individual technological units. In the second part of the individual technological units analyzed in terms of savings already realized by the operator and also in terms of savings that operators shall submit for consideration and possible implementation. The lastthird part summarizes the findings in the second part of the analysis and alsooutlines possible new solutions that are applicable to all objects of the operator.
Heat Pump Supplied from Photovoltaic System
Kaděra, Jan ; Pěcha, Jiří (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
This thesis provides heat pump usage in heating mode, heating of potable water or cooling mode. The heat pump is connected with photovoltaic power plant. The main aim of this study is to create photovoltaic system connected with heat pump and present the results of an energetic and economic evaluation. The theoretical part describes principle function heat pumps, photovoltaic power plants and components. The study provides as well a description of heating systems with a heat pump used for space heating or cooling. In the practical part of this thesis was performed calculation of energy consumption in a building. Based on this data, has been selected a suitable heat pump. To reduce the energy consumption was designed a hybrid photovoltaic power plant with a battery accumulation. Utilization of electric energy from photovoltaic system was calculated. Solutions provide the option of the energy flow analysis in specific interval. Results are summarized in the energetic and economic evaluation. The proposed solution can be applied for reconstruction or construction of a new building, focused on usage of renewable resources and emissions reduction.
The Autonomous House or Living Grid-off
Chlebný, Radek ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with energy self-sufficiency focusing on the independence of the electric grid. Basic line emanating project form a concrete proposal for autonomous energy supply system. Emphasis is placed primarily on photovoltaic systems, electric energy accumulation and selection of individual components of such a system. Another important part of the thesis is also an economic evaluation of design variations. The thesis also deals with a market research, and thereof derived benefit assessment of each technology. The accompanying chapters are then devoted to the history of autonomous life style or classification of buildings according to their energy performance.
Analysis of possibilities to reduce energy consumption of pumps at nuclear power plant
Vícena, Ondřej ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor’s thesis is the analysis of the possibilities of reducing the energy in-tensity of pumps in a nuclear power plant. Pumps are one of the essential parts of nuclear power plants. They affect the safe operation and at the same time the company’s electricity consumpti-on. This bachelor’s thesis aims to describe how pumping technology in nuclear power plants works and suggest where and what other way can save the operating costs of nuclear power plants. The work consists of theoretical and practical parts. The first part is recherche, where I describe a general introduction to atomic energy, the types of pumps used, and the possibilities of saving electricity during the pumps’ operation. The practical part focuses on calculating power input for the main operating pumps and general modifications of VD - 600 pumps. Based on my calculations, I determined the evaluati-on of the obtained results. The conclusion of the work determines the advantage of using coa-tings on the internal hydraulic spaces of the pump.
